Stay Alert Stay Alive Campaign

Pedestrian fatalities in the city of Phoenix have been increasing and the Phoenix Police Department has launched a campaign to remind everyone of some very basic rules that can help keep you alive. Sometimes we think the short cut is wroth it, but in the end, the long way would have been better. Please take a moment to share these fliers (in English and Spanish) with your Facebook friends and neighbhorhood groups.

A notorious hacker revealed to FOX25 Investigates just how easy it is to break into the backdoor of our smart phones and other devices. Even people who are careful to avoid free internet at their local coffee shop leave themselves vulnerable to attack. And the rise in the number of devices using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is only making it easier for hackers.

SCAM ALERT: “Can You Hear Me?” Calls Reported in Arizona

PHOENIX – Attorney General Mark Brnovich is warning Arizonans to beware of the “Can You Hear Me?” robocall scam. Over the last few days, concerned Arizonans have contacted the Attorney General’s Office to report suspicious calls from someone asking “Can you hear me?”

ADOT alerts trucking companies to possible scam by individual impersonating police officer

Earlier this month, a man identifying himself as an officer with ADOT’s Enforcement and Compliance Division contacted a Mesa-based trucking company saying one of its trucks was damaged in a crash and that the company needed to send payment for a mechanic called out to make repairs.

Identity Theft Information for Taxpayers

If you become a victim, we are committed to resolving your case as quickly as possible. Operation Identification

Operation Identification (Operation ID) is a citizen’s burglary prevention program for use in homes and businesses. The Operation ID program involves marking property with an identifying number as a means of discouraging burglary and theft. It also provides police with a way to identify property should it be stolen and recovered.
