The Phoenix Block Watch Advisory Board is the “umbrella” for all block watches and neighborhood organizations within the City of Phoenix.
Our Mission:
TO ESTABLISH, MAINTAIN AND ADVISE BLOCK WATCHES AND NEIGHBORHOOD ORGANIZATIONS BY PROVIDING A FORUM TO NURTURE AND EXCHANGE IDEAS TO EDUCATE ON CRIME PREVENTION, QUALITY OF LIFE AND SAFETY CONCERNS, WHILE PROVIDING A LIAISON WITH OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT AND ELECTED OFFICIALS.
Crime Prevention Education:
We provide speakers, presentations, educational crime prevention materials, and informational handouts at our meetings to assist in reaching these goals and educating the community in crime prevention techniques. As a participant in block watch you are invited to attend Phoenix Block Watch Advisory Board meetings, events, workshops and trainings. Please join us and share your success stories as well as your challenges! You will meet Directors from your precinct along with other interested and involved block watch volunteers. We encourage block watches and neighborhood organizations to network and share ideas, accomplishments and concerns.
Meetings:
Our meetings are usually scheduled on the 4th Tuesday of every month. Please obtain our yearly calendar or meeting schedule from your Phoenix Block Watch Advisory Board Precinct Director or your Police Precinct Community Program Coordinator.
Membership:
Any block watch participant is welcome to become a member of the Phoenix Block Watch Advisory Board. Membership is at no cost upon attending three (3) consecutive meetings in a calendar year period. Request a membership application from a Phoenix Block Watch Advisory Board Director.
Board of Directors:
Each Director is a qualified member of the Phoenix Block Watch Advisory Board and represents the block watch members of their Police Department Precinct Area. There is a director position to represent each precinct squad area. If you have a question or need assistance starting a block watch or revitalizing one, please contact Officer Deb Iodice, City-Wide Block Watch Coordinator at 602-495-0597or e-mail: Deborah.Iodice@phoenix.gov
We look forward to seeing you at future Phoenix Block Watch Advisory Board Meetings!
